Windows not saving Photoshop work

Greetings,

I'm new to the board and would appreciate some help. I recently had to reinstall my Photoshop 7. When I save my work in a folder opened in PS, it saves fine. But when I try to locate the file outside of PS, it's not there. My OS is Windows 7. Previously to this reinstallation, the PS7 worked fine with the Windows7, but for some reason doesn't now. I've reinstalled the PS7 a couple of times now and continue to get this problem. And help resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

So then you CAN locate the file INSIDE Photoshop?

Sounds like you're saving to a subdirectory other than the one you think you're saving to.
Do a Windows search on the file name.

Hey, that didn't completely solve my problem, but actually gave me something to work with. Perhaps it'll lead me to solving this issue, but at least it lets me get to my work when my PS is off. Thanks a lot!
