Hey guys,

I have a question that is really bugging me an di cant really seem to know the answer...here it is:

say for instance i want to create a huge poster/billboard probably size reaching 10ft x 10ft or somewhere along that line, and in this poster i want to add photos (obviously edited in photoshop from jpeg or other file formats), effects, texts etc..

my question is how do i get to create this for such huge prints and what is the settings i have to use in my document, so that when i scale my image up to that size or about it wouldnt be pixelated or starting to be pixelated??

the output image is gonna be just around 10ft x 10ft and probably bigger, do i still use normal images? say for instance if i wanna use and image take with a digital cam...but when zoom or scale up the image to a large size i can it being pixelated...

it also depends on the distance it is going to be from peoples view.
thats why images look better when you zoom out on them on your monitor

What size will the average image be?
You have to start out with the high quality images.

I should have been more specific and said, "What size will the average added photo size be"?

You said you're adding photos to a 10X10 banner.
The output banner will be 10X10, what size will the individual photos on the 10X10 banner be?

take a look at this example for instance

EASTER-FEST.jpg

with something like this i would be using normal photos take with a digital camera in jpeg format, i know that this wouldnt be a 10ft x 10ft but lets just say i want it about 10-15ft in heigt x watever the width would be

i really dont get what you mean by normal images every image is normal.
you just need to match the image to the background/graphics of course if the image is at a lower res then its going to look pixelated.
all you can do is use an image at as high enough res to look right when mixed with the BG.
the question you have to ask is how far away is the poster going to be from the people viewing it.
here are some lpi info
