Does anyone think the orange field should be smaller?

I am sorry I expressed it wrong, I did not mean smaller, I was thinking narrower, so in original as in Fahrenheit's the thickness of the orange stripe is somewhere around one third of mountain's height, your is above one half. Of course it is just my feeling, I like how you have done the mountain, but I thing the large orange surface suppresses the mountain visually a bit.

If I may have one proposal, I would make the orange stripe a bit lower, so the mountain is more visible ( for the lack of better expression, but you know what I mean ;-) )

Thanks peta; just noticed this post. I'll try that.

here. do you think that's enough?

No reason to thank me, you are doing the job ;-)
I was thinking about sharpening the picture when I saw it but it would take me hours and would not be as good as yours and Fahrenheit's by far, but I hope I will learn too. I use Photoshop only for photo processing, sometimes I do manipulations too, but it takes me a lot of time.

for this I used the pen tool. It is the only way. Otherwise it would take over an hour maybe.

BTW, in case you should miss it, I posted it with the greater white space. WHat do you think?

I am a bit confused whether I see the new one or not, I see only one your and it still seems too dominant to me. I understand the original had long text there, but as much as I like yours, the proportion of the mountain and the orange stripe is the only thing I like better on the original.

We are totally posting around each other. You missed my post asking if the gold field should be smaller which was my inclination. OK, one more change. But I think maybe the extra white space turned out well. we'll see once the stripe is narrower.

Hey, thought I'd trow in my version aswell..

The only thing I changed from Ibclare's image was the tekst and made background transparent, If you happened to like it, give credits to Ibclare, I was just bored and thought to trow an idea in here ;)

Oh sorry, yes, that white stripe separates it, I like it a lot, great idea, not I understand why I was confused by dimensions.
I am close to midnight again, long day, I had to spend some time in cold rain ( you probably do not even know what cold rain is in LA area :-) ), so I do not think clearly enough now.

I like the sky removal, since I am not sure how would the original look on the shirt, of course it depends on the shirt colour. But I am a bit old fashioned guy, so I think less is sometimes more and this type of text, although it resembles cold mountain environment, is a bit too much for me. But others mileage may vary ;-)

Thanks everyone, I am still around! just got back from a quick run, now to work, then to the climbing wall!

I have left this in all of your capable hands as you are all creating something special here!!!

If anyone wants there name on the patch, which I am sowing to my equipment which will come to the summit (hopefully) with me just PM your name or nickname or whatever name you want, and ill add it to the patch!

I will check back in later tonight! Please don't think I am disappearing on you. Im not!

That is a great idea nejikiara. Really cool, ha ha, no pun intended.

I think it's perfect now. With those so so clouds removed everything is sharp and saturated.

And even if I might think about it for a short moment, you cannot go narrower with the stripe since it would shrink size of the numbers and make them lost on such a long line, also the mountain cannot be transformed higher, since it would not have Mt Everest's shape anymore.

I hope we will see picture of the shirt here, I am looking forward. ( And of course picture of the top of the world too ;-) )

You made a great job, thanks I could watch you and good night :-)

I realized that if you are printing this, the fewer colors the better. The sky is currently aqua colored. I just made it whit. If you want a sky back in I'll use the same blue as elsewhere. But I think it looks simpler and cleaner being white.

agreed...I do screen-printing and "the less colors the better" is true...some people get crazy with too many colors and it ends up destroying the design.
this would look great just purple & yellow on a white shirt...

Me too, I recently discovered it in photoshop ^^
the font is called Heavy Heap
used blending on the font
for the snow I used lasso tool around the letters, filled it in with white, than messing a little with the bevel and emboss to get a little shadow

Edit: I should add for the snow that I learned it from a tutorial once but I can't remember from where to give proper credits..

Edit2: found it, it's from Tutorialwiz
