Canvas size.

Hi I am running PS 12.1 and have done a full upgrade to see if it would cure the problem but no.
problem is, when I try to resize the canvas, Canvas extension color won't open. Help needed, thanks in advance

Won't open as in grayed out or no matter what you select the extension color is always transparent?

OK I see what you mean.
It's grayed out if you don't have a locked background layer.

Yes layers are unlocked, and grey out - I'm trying an "out of Bounds' project if that helps..

I tried it too.
If you're working with a single layer flatten the layer and it will work.

If it's multiple layers I don't know how to get around it.

Using multi layers, background, two pic layers and blank for 'cutout' layer border/transform.
Just tried it on elements 10, and same thing. Could it be a PC problem????

No it's not your PC it's what Photoshop does, why I don't know.

Look near the bottom of the page

The Canvas Extension Color menu isn't available if an image doesn't contain a background layer.

Hi Steve,
Tried that and still nothing. this is what Im trying to do, put a border round the floating sand.
View attachment black lab 6 a.psd. Also now found `transform-warp` is not working at this stage.

Not sure I've following exactly what your trying to do here.
Transform won't work on an empty layer, Layer 2.
If all you want to do is put a border around the sand use the Polygonal lasso tool to outline the sand and Edit|Stroke.
