    resizing problems

Ah resolution. Sorry. It's 72px/inch, but if I change that, it changes the size. I'll try resizing it in inkscape and see if I get a better result. In PS I've tried using the resize function, and the transform function then cropping. Both give me the problem edge.

    resizing problems

I'm resizing from 347x347 px to 256x256. I've tried it for many, many images, and I keep getting the same problem. I don't usually resize from anything greater than 512ish, because I lose too much detail. It's not something I could recreate in illustrator (or in my case inkscape). Would resizing...

    resizing problems

In PS CS3 extended, Whenever I resize an image, 1 px width around the edge becomes slightly grey. It becomes very noticeable when I offset the image or tile it - which is what I want to use it for. How can I stop it from doing this?

    Gradient Style for shape?

Some additional information, but I can't find a modify button, sorry (maybe because I'm new?) These are the kind of flowers that I am trying to create, but I want to create a set of gradients using the standard RGB colours, then later add a few of the inbetween ones like CMY and the weird ones...

    Gradient Style for shape?

I'd like to create or download a style for a shape fill that is a gradient blending outwards from a point (I'm making flowers), that I can choose the two colours, or create a number of my own custom ones. Can anyone recommend a download, or tell me the steps to create one myself? I'm using PS...

    canvas setup

Ahh thank you so much Tom :) Exactly what I need. I have a tool that is designed to do this actively (you don't have to tell it, it just does it) but in all other ways the tool is vastly inferior to image editing software, and there's no way to transfer the information between programs short of...

    canvas setup

Yes, exactly. I guess I might have to stick with cutting things in a new layer or document. So far, to get exactly half, I've been placing the object on a new canvas of exact size, then halving the canvas size, copy paste, then undoing and repeating for the opposite side. But where I don't need...

    canvas setup

Is there any way to make it so that when I place an object on my canvas, if I move it across to the left, any overhang comes back in on the right, and vise versa. Also, the same for top/bottom? I have no idea what you would call that, so google fails me.
