    Well the eps files I have all have layers. They were all built in illustrator. The problem is when you export them they are on a very large transparent background, and then have to be cropped individually and named. Just a long process either way.

    LOL, You are right, but I have a few hundred of these. It was my own ignorance. I just thought layers could be exported to files. Just seemed like something that would have been in version 1.0 LOL

    If you used the magic wand tool, it would know right? Then somehow tell PS to separate them.

    They can be exported to PSD layers in some cases. (not all work) Seems a script could do this in illustrator, or in PS if you just convert the eps into a flat transparent png.

    Yes exactly. Lots of elements on one sheet. That's a good example since they are not all the same size.

    Thank you for your help, but that is quite different than my needs. I was hoping there was some way for a script to crop and export each image out of a single eps and export it as a png file. Let's say you have 200 icons on a single eps file. You want all of those icons to be separate png...
