Time for challenge 32:
This is how it will start: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew01FGfOZdE
I hope mankind will make it until there...
Meanwhile man started to bild a huge spacecraft to travel to the stars.
But because an old man with grey hair and moustache stated we will not be able to travel at lightspeed or above those trips will last generations.
Accordingly man did build a huge spacecraft where the 'passengers' will have to be self supported for many generations until they reach a new place to settle.
They called it a TubeWorld.
But here it comes, I'm not interested how the outside of that spacecraft looks. (Not completely true: I would like to see a 3D model, dressed up with all the details of the ship in the scheme above! So if any 3D specialist would have a go at it, I would love it but it would not count as a submission because...)
But what I need is how the 'TubeWorld' looks on the inside.
I did a quick one (+- 1 hour work and by no means perfect or complete):
(Click on image for full size and effects - it's bigger then 700 px x 700 px)
(And yes, that's the same dude I used before, but now he has finished his shift and on his way home)
So, this is the challenge: create a view from the inside of the TubeWorld.
It doesn't have to be the whole picture. Nice elaborated details are welcome but the viewer must have the impression he's inside the TubeWorld.
A second option is to create the inside of the tube world discribed by Arthur C. Clarke in his novel 'Rendez-Vous With Rama'.
The scifi lovers among us now what I'm talking about. In this 'alien' tube world all structures are from metal.
In fact you have to have read the novel to understand, but there's the net where you can look it up.
The same rules apply on this option too, only the inside counts.
All kind of digital art is welcome. (3D, painting ect...)
I invite everyone on this forum to participate, yes even the mods, admins ect...
It looks difficult but actually it isn't.
Come on girls and boys, show us what you can!
Good luck
PS: I will not participate in this challenge, just picking up ideas for my own work.
This challenge will end on 10 december 2015 at 17.00 Hr.
