    Have you tried waiting to see if Photoshop continues? You could try Cmd+K (Preferences) then go to Performance and increase the amount of memory available to Photoshop. Try resetting the preferences file. It cures a lot of strange behavior in PS. Start Photoshop and immediately hold down...

    Sure no problem just make sure you go to Help|Deactivate first. When you want to add it back to this or any other computer you can Re-Activate it.

    Good for you, it takes time and practice but the other tools are there for a reason too. Try some of the suggestions for those tools too. BTW, welcome to PSG.

    Quick Select and Magic Wand aren't very exact in how they work and the lower the resolution the worse the problem gets. The best tool for the job is the pen tool but you can do better with the tools you're using by playing with the tolerance setting on Magic Wand and the brush size in Quick...

    Hi George and welcome to PSG. I think your edit is an improvement over the original. The chin and nose look much better IMHO. Not part of your question but blending the shadow on the face would help too
