    Not sure if you can do this in elements but you need to convert the layer to a smart object before applying a filter. So right click the layer > convert to smart object > apply a filter. Then in the layers panel you'll be able to click "Filter Gallery" and go back and adjust what you want.

    Something like this? Used the layer mask to erase parts of the logo that weren't needed and then used layer styles to give it shadows and color variation.

    Problems with paste in place

    If you want to just clone that part of the layer, the easiest thing to do would be to use the elliptical select and then hit ctrl+J which puts that selection into a new layer. If you want to delete that part of the original image, just ctrl+click the new layer in the layers panel to call the...

    Decided to try to recreate the Canon 550D as seen from the photographer's perspective. Started working on this last night and finished it up today. This is not meant to be an artistic piece but more of a technical exercise instead.

    I like it! The specularity of the plastic part of the pin/tack is too soft - it needs to be more glossy. I'm not sure of the best way to achieve that but try this but I'm sure it can be achieved by painting white (selectively!) in a new layer on top of the tack/pin.

    Black Swan-esque Retouch

    Thanks guys. Tried to define the shape of the eye socket/brow with dodging/burning. I added some shadowing to her face as well as some earrings just for fun. Also added some overlays to bring out some detail in the clothing.
