i need some help with this.

Hi Dennisc, Are you still trying to work on this picture? It would be easier if you posted the images before they are merged together that way it won't be necessary to clone the background when the edges are tidied up. Happy to help out if your still around :) webwize

    Ongoing attempt at Digital Painting

Right - I think I have the lines down now - what do you think? Followed some of the tutorial (thanks Clare) and then did a little close up work with the paintbrush to tidy it up. I realise that I could spend hours on this but I'm happy with these for now.

Thanks for all the reply's so far, I haven't had a chance to turn on the PC until now this weekend (Christmas is coming). Ongoing attempt at Digital Painting

OK it's nearly 2am and time for bed but before I go here's image #2. The original scan has been tidied using a levels adjustment layer and a combination of overlay and multiply layers. I've also set up the canvass better so now I have something to work on...

    Ongoing attempt at Digital Painting

Hi All I thought I would start a thread that follows my attempt to draw an image, put it into Photoshop and color it. My hope is that along the way I can get some hints, tips, pointers to useful tutorials and constructive criticism... Then at the end of it all a picture I am proud of :)...

Need help making it look a little more professional

I like the colours but have a few small suggestions that I would impliment if it were my site ( without changing the overall look). 1. Improve the quality of the cup on the right side and the pencils on the left, they are a bit jagged at the moment. 2. I would just use the shape of a monitor...

    Hillsman

If your budget allows you could also get After Effects which will give you a ton of options for slide shows, music etc - although it has a fairly steep learning curve as I am finding out! Would always recommend you get Photoshop as there will be tons you can add to your photo's, as Spruce says...

    Outlining

Spruce's method is great and to be honest that's what I would use but if you are looking for other options two come to mind: 1. Follow the above steps until you have removed the white background and then use a levels adjustment layer to make the blacks darker (or bolder as you originally...

    Challenge Rewards

Perhaps this has already been suggested but it would be a nice idea if a poll could be placed after a challenge has been in action for a while and a "winner" would be voted for - then said winner could get a special avitar to go with their posts in the future. (geek alert...) you get something...

Help making a pressed button effect

Hi Ronlv I'm not sure how familiar you are with photoshop so apologies if this is "teaching granny to suck eggs" as they say in my part of the world... but perhaps the easiest way is to add a drop shadow layer style when the button is "up" and a bevel / emboss layer style when the button is...

    Colour Splash...photoshop.

I think you have done a great job so far, looks really good :) I think the area you are struggling with is the top of the chest / neck area, I have some things to do right now but will happily take a look later, but in the meantime have you tried making a selection based on your mask and then...

Hi Sarah Is there any chance of you putting up the original image, it would be a lot easier to help you out :) Is the Image you have High quality? If it is then the above methods should be easy enough if only a little time consuming, for what it is worth I would avoid any color selections as it...
