    Mac Pro Photoshop Performance Tweaking

    With that hardware you should not be having any issues with brush lag. Go to edit --> Preferences --> Performance. What amount of memory are you letting Photoshop use? Are you using the SSD array for scratch disks or the 7200 drives? Is Enable OpenGL drawing checked under your video card info?

    Get Stuffit Expander... it's a free Mac program that will extract the contents of a zip or rar file.

    How to resize a picture to EXACTLY X BYTES.

    Go to Save for web and Devices, then click on the fly out menu and choose Optimize to File Size. That will give you some options but I don't know how exact they are.
