    Help printin in photoshop

I would like an answer to this too. When I print, the measurements I enter in print with preview are never the same as the actual page that I print out. I don't know why. }P

    Selective Color Anyone???

What is anyone's opinion on selective color? I love it, and find it very useful, but i've found in the books that I read that a lot of authors either like it(Dan Margulis, Photoshop Color Correction), or find it useless(Deke McCleland, The Photoshop Bible), but no strong feelings about it...

    Unsharp Mask

Caveat about Color Range Color Range selects a set of pixels of like color just like the wand but the difference between color range and the magic wand is that color range can and will select some pixels partially(meaning there will be transparency if you are to move the selection), whereas the...

    Optimizing for the web?

Well, for the best color settings on the web, you should use your monitor sRGB colorspace(which is what you have it on). The Adobe RGB space is awesome if you're printing, but for web stuff, what you have it on is fine. Same with the 2.2 gamma grayscale. Most of your images will be grayscale...

    Thinking outside the canvas?

That's pretty good. I guess I thought it was going to be more complicated than it was(like maybe there was a way to define a new canvas within guides and set the rest to be opaque, etc.) You guys are awesome. THANKS!

    Thinking outside the canvas?

Yeah, it does eat lots of memory...and this is an ok workaround(not quite as good as Pierre's) if you have a powerful system, but if you ever wanted to flatten it to create an image it would be quite a hassle to move and resize all of the elements. is this actually avoided with the guides? if...

    Thinking outside the canvas?

Is there any way to make it so that layers outside the canvas are visible? Like on Flash MX if you have a layer that is outside your stage, then you can still see them. Any help on this would be nice. Thanks!

    Stitching Plugins/Software

Ok, Photoshop's the BEST! Alright, I figured that Photoshop is the only way to go in stitching photos! The way I stitched the below is a mixture of layer masking seams with a soft brush, transform : distort and skew, curving, selective coloring, leveling, and most important, curving. Thanks for...

    Rounded/Sharp Stroke

Yeah, I guess I was wondering if it was an attribute that could be set in the Blending Options. [innocent] I wish I didn't have to rasterize my text to do this. [upset] Hopefully you can toggle this option in future versions. Don't know what they were thinking. I would think the default they...

    Rounded/Sharp Stroke

Is there any way to make it when you stroke text to make it so the the edges are sharp instead of the default where it rounds the edges or is this an excercise that must be done manually as in the demo below(with the poly lasso, ctrl shift I, then backspace)? :{ :\

    Stitching Plugins/Software

That's what I figured. A lot of the techniques I used were pretty deliberate and willful- a lot of layer masking, linked adj. layers and replacing the color. Oh well, I guess the question is then, where's the best info on doing this in Photoshop???

    Stitching Plugins/Software

What is anyone's opinion on the best stitching software for stitching multiple photos together for a panorama(plugins, elements, etc)? This one took me about 3.5 hours to complete, and it still has flaws! thanks in advance

    Default to background layer

I'm working on an image and for some reason when i try to move the top layer, it always switches to the bottom layer, and then gives me a dialog box that says I can't move to background layer because it is locked(obviously). So is there anyone out there who knows why this is happening?? Any help...

Boards of Canada is one of the best artists to listen to when i'm working. They help me throw off any notion of what I think others think is good.

    Painting black on channels

I know.... Yeah, i'm pretty versed in the basics (additive & subtractive colorspace)sand some advanced topics of color correction(ive read michael kieran's and dan margulis's books on that)but where i get baffled is understanding channels and how they interact with each other and their...
