    Just check when you click on one of the letters, that they are not set to Grayscale (in the color window). Any color applied will show as a shade of gray. Maybe switch it to CMYK or RGB depending on your purpose for the text.

    Aye, that is so. I don't plan on putting the glow on the final image, I just wanted something behind the globe to test opacity. Instead of spending 30mins searching for a BG, I just added a simple radial gradient. I guess I can do a spooky version too, once the globe is done :)
