Thanks! I don't think that is what I am looking for though. I need something where I can add the artwork below the shadows and hightlights layer

quick and easy way for shirt mockups

Here's one. I have a few other shirts that are this type of material and when I try to separate the shadows, it gets real grainy looking because of the material.

quick and easy way for shirt mockups

I have about 20 different images to do. I have tried using Levels to separate the shadows. I've tried using an alpha channel. Every time I add the "shadow" layer on top of the artwork, the shadows don't appear and it just doesn't give it the realistic effect that I need.

quick and easy way for shirt mockups

Can someone help me with a quick and easy method of separating highlights and shadows from a shirt? I need to mock up some designs, but I have to use specific images. All the tutorials I have watched are using white colored shirts and I am having no luck getting the shadows to look realistic of...

    How to do this effect?

I’m sorry, I should have been clearer. I know how to separate objects from their backgrounds and I know how to isolate the cats. I’m wanting to know how to get the colors to pop and the skin to look smooth and painted like that, as well as getting that retro effect. I didn’t mean to make you do...

    How to do this effect?

My questions are around the blending modes and layer masks. The skin is soft and smooth like it's been painted.

    How to do this effect?

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this effect. I know the photo was taken using shadow boxes, but the post editing is what I like. It looks like it was painted and kind of reminds me of a retro effect.

Okay, I wasn't sure if there was an easier method. The pen tool is a little time consuming for me lol

    separating colors for t shirt

This is what he sent me. I think I found a way using the magic wand tool, but it's kind of messy. I don't think the image is high enough quality to get clean selections.

    separating colors for t shirt

So, I don't do this very often, but I need help with separating colors for a t shirt. I have a buddy who prints shirts and he sent me a full color logo in a jpg form and asked me if I can separate the colors and convert to a tiff file for screen printing. Is there an easy way of doing this in...

No, I understand that. I'm just asking if there is a tutorial that could help me take a photo and give me the same effect.

Ah okay, but I have seen similar effects for photography.

What is this effect called and how can I do it?

So, my uneducated guess for this style is similar to the old hand painted photography. Is this correct? I haven't been able to find a good tutorial to get this effect. Can anyone help?

    Removing white artifacts?

Hey sorry for the late reply. I ended up finding what I needed using the background eraser tool. If the admins wanted to delete this post, that's fine.

    Removing white artifacts?

Hey, just wanted to know if there was a quick and easy way to remove the white artifacts from this image? I added a green background to show what I am dealing with. I'm not too concerned with the Orange blob in the back, just because I can find a png file of that with clean edges. My main...

Batch Automation Batch Automation is increasing the size of my files

Hey, thanks for the reply. I went back and looked at everything, but the originals weren't indexed, nor were they in PNG-8 or 8 bit color. The pixels were the same size as well. I ended up saving the new files as PNG-8 and it lowered the files considerably. So, that worked for me. I just wish I...

Batch Automation Batch Automation is increasing the size of my files

So, I had a client who wanted to add a watermark to their images. They had close to 700 images to watermark, so I decided to use the automated batch function to cut down on time. I made my own action and all that, but when I went back to look at the files, their size increased dramatically. The...

Hey Sam, have you had any chance to see what you could come up with? If not, it's not a big deal.
