    I use all Hasselblad 2 1/4 cameras..All shot on film and then scanned on a Minolta Dimage...Next year I will go directly to Canon D1s..But for now I spend hours a day scanning 25 years of images.

    My neighbor is with Mac--not for me..only PC !!! I will note the system, I am relating to, in the future. Sorry for the confusion. Just noticed that most info states 1.8 gamma for PC and I wondered about the Dot gain settings,,,,I will continue to search here in the forums.... thanks...

    cross hair instead of brush size

    That was our standard procedure..but did not work,,,althoibut the problem only occured on images that we had scanned commercially..and on a CD ..So we gave up,,,no problem...

    Sure hope Silver Fast comes through with their update, (supposedly by April)>>> for the Minolta Dimage Multi. Really like the quality of scans for 35 & 2 1/4...using the Epson2450 for 4X5, via SilverFast.. cjogo

    THanks Eric--very informative!!! Are using SilverFast or VueScan with your scanner??? The Minolta, although a great scanner, leaves little in the software for corrections...Will do searches on the threads you suggested... thanks cjogo Stick Village Latvia

I have found that the flatbed {Epson 2450}scanning>>flat on the glass>>>scanned as a transparency , may lend itself to a better finale...

    scanning Probably the most disheartening discovery about scanning negatives...especially B&W........the film was not manufactured to scan. The fine grain film and meticulous processing I maintained, does not lend itself to the detailed film scanner. Ultra -fine grain has become like poorly...

    neg scanning We have been scanning 2 1/4 negs for about 4 years straight..like 30 hours a week. We use the Minolta Dimage which unfortunately does not work with Silver Fast...any other Sftwares compatible? Really like the controls with Silver Fast..just cannot use as a Twain to import into...
