AI......A Tool. What do you think?

OK. I'm really not trying to start an argument at all!! We can certainly agree to disagree! AI is nothing more than a process of algorithms created and provided by humans, who use it as a tool to produce an outcome for tasks. It approximates intelligence but it is not intelligent. It can not...

AI......A Tool. What do you think?

Depends on how you look at it. A process is a series of actions, steps, or changes that lead to a specific result. Technically you're right. AI can be defined as a series of processes working together to reach a specific goal. However, apart from anything a human can do confined to their own...

AI......A Tool. What do you think?

In addition to this, the student graduates, if they can find one, can't function at a job because they know nothing! This is also happening at the high school level as well. I's a major problem.

AI......A Tool. What do you think?

Thanks John for your insight into the larger problem. Under our current worldwide monetary system, there will never be a solution. We're only seeing the early beginnings of a systemic problem that's going to get a lot worse in the years to come. There's only a finite list of jobs that AI can't...

AI......A Tool. What do you think?

Well, it's been close to a year since this thread was active and I'm very curious as to how everyone's opinion on AI might have changed. As we all can see, this forum is being directly affected as evidenced by it's obvious decline. AI is not necessarily killing a career field as much as much as...

    Logo design help.

You can also make a selection of the top of the blue circle where it intersects with the yellow rectangle. Hold the command key and then click the blue rectangles thumbnail, then hold the option key and the command key and click the yellow rectangles thumbnail. You get this... Then you mask it...

    Logo design help.

Now to complicate it a bit more, lets say I want to only remove the portion of the blue circle that intersects with the yellow rectangle! I can select the yellow rectangle by holding the command key and clicking the yellow rectangles thumbnail. Then I hold down the shift key + the option key +...

    Logo design help.

Thanks Rich! I wish I was motivated to recreate this effect with exact measurements...................unfortunately I'm not. I really could not find a good video on making complex multiple selections, so I will try to demonstrate with simple shapes. Here I have 3 shapes on their own separate...

    Logo design help.

OK, I played with this and did a crappy job because I was working fast and not really measuring my horizontal lines. I was more or less roughly trying the technique I decided would work best. I apologize for the slop but I'm not interested in trying to make it perfect. It was actually more work...

Yes. The effect has no specific name since it's relatively a simple combination of shapes and layer masking. It may take some explaining, so give us some time.
