    Mosaic Stitching

OK, so here it is. Adapted a bit to suit my needs. Most suitable for stitching map tiles, where the filename includes XY coordinates, so the file sort starts at bottom left and finishes top right. #target photoshop var folder = Folder.selectDialog(); if (!folder) {alert("Cancelled"); exit;}...

    Mosaic Stitching

That's weird, I'm showing RGB: Anyway, I've just solved all of my problems! And learnt a bit in the process. Getting the sort order correct was the trickiest, though I hadn't expected it to be. Happy to post the script if anyone would like it? Would like to tweak a couple of things first.

    Mosaic Stitching

Thanks! That's appeared just about perfect, but unfortunately with 100 tiles, although all appear to be opened in Photoshop in separate layers, about 80% is a transparency, not sure why? Just looked at the script, and wonder if it's due to tifOpts.byteOrder = ByteOrder.MACOS when I'm on a PC...

    Mosaic Stitching

OK, amending 29,000 to 40,000 works! My only problem now is that I can't seem to set the space between tiles to zero, it won't allow me to go lower than 1px.

    Mosaic Stitching

Thanks, that looks promising! I've done a lot of VBA in Office, CAD, etc, but never been involved with PS Scripts

    Mosaic Stitching

That's almost perfect! The only problem is the maximum dimensions are 29,000 x 29,000px. I wonder if there's a way of tweaking that?

    Mosaic Stitching

I'm wanting to stitch 10 rows x 10 columns of TIF images (each a 4000x4000px map tile). So a 40,000x40,000px TIF output. They're not overlapping, and abut perfectly. The filenames of the input files will define their position in the mosaic. I could do it manually, but that would take some time...

    Multiple Polylines? (Mapping)

Thanks John, that's exactly what I was looking for! :) Here's what I managed: If I was being REALLY picky, maybe the stroke is slightly less smooth? I have played around with opacity a little. And I guess if I want to merge the road junction, masking would be the easiest way?

    Multiple Polylines? (Mapping)

OK Polyline is what we call it in CAD, it may not be correct in Photoshop? My apologies! Anyway, I want the add some reasonably long multi-node lines similar to that shown here (white line with thin black borders denoting a small road). What's the easiest way to do this please? I know there are...

    Multiple repeatable skewed rectangular copies?

OK, I'm glad you understand I'm not just being pedantic! It's probably my CAD background where it's pretty much a crime to ever align things visually.

    Multiple repeatable skewed rectangular copies?

Yep, I've got that OK! What I'm getting at, is whether there's a better way to position the ruler than zooming in and placing it visually? Like if I select the layer of the skewed map (by Ctrl + click on the layer's thumbnail), the marching ants know where the edges are. So the ants are...

    Multiple repeatable skewed rectangular copies?

Thanks again. What I meant was to straighten the copied and still-skewed rectangle (of map), upon either pasting into a new document, or assigning to a new layer. When I said 'imprecise' re the Ruler, I meant that AFAIK there's not a way of snapping the ruler to an edge of the skewed selection...

    Multiple repeatable skewed rectangular copies?

Thanks, I've got it now! I wasn't clicking on the actual thumbnail in the rectangle's layer, I should have known this. To avoid adding more and more layers, I've actually copied and pasted direct to the new (final) image. The only thing I'm a little unhappy about is the straightening process...

    Multiple repeatable skewed rectangular copies?

Thanks for the swift reply. All makes sense to me, except I can't seem to use the rectangles to make the selection of the map layer. Specifically nothing seems to be happening with these two lines: Then select the map layer. Cmd/Cntrl + click the layer of the area you would like to...

    Multiple repeatable skewed rectangular copies?

Not sure the title makes sense, so I've made an image to illustrate the problem: I'm trying to create a 'Rolling Map' for a navigation event, and want to copy sections of map something like I've shown, before pasting to create a long thin series of images, combined into a long thin canvas...

    Radial Clone?

The sky's missing, as the camera on my Mavic Air will only shoot about 15 degrees above the horizon. I think this is a problem with many drones for panos. I had hoped there was a way to simply clone/blend the sky in PS.... Attached is the same pano before I manipulated to make the 'hole' the...

    Radial Clone?

I use PTGui to create spherical panoramas. Recently bought a drone, which does an excellent job, except the sky's missing. (Using a tripod and fish-eye lens the problem always used to be with the nadir shot, due to the tripod!). I can manipulate the image in PTGui to give a zenith view, as...

Multiple windows (masks) onto a single layer?

OK, thanks, point taken. Actually I'm running up against another problem now! But I guess the Generator is new to us all, so I actually don't feel quite so dumb about this one . The generated files (jpg) get cropped to a bounding box, so if the viewport/mask originally contained some...

Multiple windows (masks) onto a single layer?

The only thing that's disappointing, is that it appears that for every copy I make, the filesize increases correspondingly, i.e. two layers are roughly twice the filesize of one. Is this inevitable, or am I doing something wrong? I had hoped for only a very small increase for each reference to...
