    My first impression: A lot of work, but possible. I personally would go by recreating the complete cover to match the original. Like I said: Time consuming, whatever solution you choose.

    I don't think that this is what you would like to hear, but I recommend you create your own custom cover. Although it's a lot of work, but I bet it's less then working with a (poor) scan of the original. Saying that I don't know how mnuch expertise you have with PS.

    Well... The shape of the text you can create by using "WARP". Rasterize the upper text and drag the top-left and top-right handle. Same for the bottom text, but then using the bottom-handles.

    Hi, Not sure if you're a beginner, but my impression from the image (by heart) quick and dirty: 1) lookup font; 2) create text and warp; 3) rasterize; 4) new layer -> fill 5) filter > noise > add noise (and perhaps + motion blur) > clipping mask 6) new layer, gradient for light > clipping mask
