    Thanks for the insight. It took me a few minutes, but I found the executable and it installed okay. It does pay to keep some things around. :) I just hope that every time a new version of PS is installed from the cloud subscription, that I don't have to reinstall my NIK/DxO software...

    I would say it is a conflict of interest and probably a GeForce issue. It may be that the only solution for now is to use the History and step back that way. I will also notify Nvidia that the GeForce Experience component is causing me some grief and see what type of response I get.

    gedstar, I removed anything related to Lavasoft and that seems to have solved the problem. PS CC 2017 now starts and runs, the only problem is that everything has been reset to "factory defaults", but I can fix that. Thanks very much for your help and also introducing me to the Event Viewer...
