    Performing a photo makeover

    Hi Taurog and welcome to the forums! :) This tutorial is aimed at the intermediate PS user and as such, assumes that you are familiar with photoshop somewhat. The Keeper specifically notes in the introduction to the intermediate section, that new photoshoppers may have a hard time...

    a little help to finish it up

    The top plastic part of the pin looks great, the lower metal part seems to short and sharp. The push pins I have here, the metal part is longer and only pointed right at the end. So to answer your question, I think the proportions need working on... good work though, but as mentioned , its...

    Digital 'vs' Traditional?

    Listening to the radio this morning, one of stories was about how for the first time, more people (USA) are buying digital cameras than traditional film cameras. I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about this, or any experience they would like to share/discuss. I am guessing...

    Dog tag

    Hi and welcome to the PSG Forums Neolite!!! :righton: Photoshop can be very daunting when first beginning. But from my experience, the more you experiment with the tools, the more confidence you will gain. It was the main appeal of the program to me when I first started using it! Things...

    Ghost

    looks pretty good Ferlin! I think the pose of the woman in your image does not lend itself to be 'ghostly' like, so that detracts from its realism....your smoke is on the right tack though... :righton: Tinker: Thats nice! :}

    Dog tag

    Thanks Ferlin! Actually its fairly easy. One step I missed out in my previous directions was the use of the curves command to exaggerate the high/lows of the chain.

    PS FFX Help - "super glow"

    Erik, using a .txt as an extension for a graphic file is a commonly used way of getting round the limitations of 'free servers' (such as geocities, that do not allow direct linking to images. Not saying that is right or wrong! Depedning on what browser you use, it may or may not display as an...

    Create a Silhouette?

    welcome to the forums Arush! Basically you need to create an accurate selection to islolate the person from its background. Once you have done that, you can fill the selection with a colour. The method you use to make a selection will largely depend on what the original image looks like...

    Dog tag

    well I had a go. Like the guys said though, you need to break down any object into its base elements, and then try and build it up from the ground up... when you do it this way its kind of easy to do with practice. This is how I did mine, but it is not the only way, have a go and show us what...

    need help

    ok, well I am gonna suggest using the Pen Tool to make the base shapes. You should be able to trace the lions using the pen tool also. Probably the hardest bit will be getting your text curved like that (unless your using PS CS which has text on a curve I am told) Its a little tricky to make...
