    Thanks for the alternatives Jeff. This morning I managed to "redeem" my purchase. Actually it was my wife's Brenda and supposedly she's ALL SET but nothing is happening. Could that be because I restored from the back up and I need to uninstall again?

    Well, I managed to download PsElements 2020 (7 hours) and had to activate it with the serial number. It was on the original disc package, so I entered it only to find it was invalid?? Come to find out it was actually retired or revoked and my only option was to buy it again. Built in...

    Thank you guys very much. I hesitated uninstalling Elements 2020 until I knew I could reinstall. This morning I found the serial #, date of registration, and version 18.0 which ought to be enough to download the latest version. I really appreciate your help.:joy:....will try tomorrow

    Great, I was about to ask if that could be done. But where can I obtain the updated version. I suspect it would have to be from Adobe. But is that free and do you have a link?

    Every time I open Photoshop a pop up message wants me to download an update. I choose the option to wait until I exit. Either way, now or later, it stops at 5%. How can I get this update? I must need it because I have a host of problems.

    Color to B/W

    Back in PSElements6 I found a way to make a better conversion to B/w that involved a duplicate layer, a levels adjustment layer that I opened but did nothing with it, and a gradient map. It came from a Photoshop book that I can't find now. Is anyone familar with the steps?

    Okay, so far I'm not having that much trouble with loading the editor work space. But need help creating an 8 by 10 photo collage. First I create the transparent new file then open a picture but when I move the 3x4 to the page it collapses to 3x4 leaving no space for the next pic?

    Thanks that worked well, intuitive I suppose. Here's another one that's really frustrating. Sometimes when I start the program and click the photo editor button it opens the workspace and sometimes it doesn't? sort of like and invalid shortcut.

    After years with Ps Elements 6 I stepped up to 2020 and am having troubles. For the time being just one. The clone tool, When I ALT+Click what I want to clone the cursor has a white halo effect and will not reproduce (clone) what was selected?
