    Right to convert text into apaths on illustrator you Type the text you want then select it using the black cursor, right click it and select Create Paths! thenat it! Not sure what you mean by Object, so you need to expand! is it something you are copying in to illustrator? ie. an image? chris

    try to disable your firewall just use windows firewall and see if that makes any difference? if it does then uninstall that firewall and reinstall it. just a thought. chris

    yeah with time you'll get used to it. you can play arround with the colours to aswell to make the edges more crisp then use my technique to create a layer mask the best way for you to learn is online tutorials there are plenty out there! chris

I'm not sure what your trying to lasso but I tend to use the magnetic one for most of my projects. once you have finnished and you see the "marching ants" then you can alter the selection using the quick selection wand with either the + or - to push...
