Illustrator To buy Illustrator... or not to buy Illustrator!

Just as a side note. Illustrator CS does have a 3D function. It's kinda limited but does work (text & lines) and I hope you have a P4 with lots of RAM. I had a P3 with 312RAM and it choked when rendering a compound curve. Take a look here...

    A question of honest ability...

I'm in the same boat as Mark. I do have a background in the "temporal world", but I spend my time on the computer. I suppose some people can study formal art, without doing it, and gain the knowledge of proper format and such.

    Help!!! Amending EPS File

The only thing I can think of is to use the airbrush tool, on a new layer, and paint in the flames. Maybe use Adobe Illustrator to color it. There is a fire tut on another forum (PST), but the flames are made to look real. It wouldn't fit in with the design you have. Best of luck with your...

    Phot restoration

Mom sure is strong to have a kid that big on her shoulders [stuned] You have your work cut out for you with this pic. Once you get rid of the kid, mom will be standing stooped over some with her arms in a funny position. Other than what you have been trying I can't think of an easy way to...

After Effects Adobe After Effects 5.0 Standard

BC, I don't know why ether. If I did my math correct someone could save $400.00 off Version 6 for Standard or Pro. Go figure.

After Effects Adobe After Effects 5.0 Standard

I'm not sure if it's OK to post this here, if not please delete it. I've had this program for awhile and I just don't have a need for it. I'm asking $100.00 (US) for it. The price includes shipping and insurance. It's Adobe After Effects 5.0 Standard, full program, NOT an upgrade. Also...

    Show Off Your Work Area[s]

Al, the brew doesn't set around that long to get warm ;) After spending 3 1/2 years in Germany I don't mind the brew warming up some. I got use to cool, not real cold, brew. I know, how un-American. :bustagut: Maybe one day I can have as much puter stuff laying around my place as you do.

Best way to make a curved line

Neolite, glad to see your well on your way to the wonderfull world of the pen tool. I played with Illustrator for about 4 years before moving on to PS. Believe it or not, there is a shorter way to do what has been described. It deals with mouse clicking at the beginning and end of your lines...
