    been gone, need help

You have no website for your writing? In a previous message, though, you said: So ... what's the deal? ;) I pay for NAPP to get me motivated, in part (it's $99 a year, btw). I get cool benefits through them, access to their website with a bunch of member-only stuff, and a nifty...

    been gone, need help

Thanks for all the sites, Spark. Much appreciated. Is there somewhere I can go on the 'net to read your stuff? I don't recall seeing it when I was on your site -- looking at your illustrations, don'tchaknow. I stopped reading Tarot for much the same reason that you stopped writing poetry...

    >>>IMPOSSIBLE!!!!<<<

Although it's quick and easy to say "wow, that's really cool" or "gee, that's ugly" is quick and easy, it's not really helpful to the artist in question. IMO. Sure, the ego stroke is nice -- who doesn't like that? It's more fulfilling, IMO, for the artist as well as the speaker, for them...

    been gone, need help

yeah, okay, I've been gone a while, like a lot longer than I had intended on being gone. For some reason the board here has been REALLY slow on my machine ... it's not a whole lot better, but I am once again going to make an effort to come back. Anyway, I wanted to ask -- when you need a...

    Old Book

what do you need it for? what qualities dop you NEED it to have, and what would you just LIKE it to have? There are several attributes in that picture you posted that one could consider -- the text (the font), the handwritten feel, the picture in it, the use of ornamented drop caps, and so on...

    sticky/tricky question...

this is an interesting question for me ... and I don't really have an answer for it, but I can relate my path thus far. I started by doing web design. Real basic stuff at first, of course. Somewhere along the way, I think, I learned that it would be a Good Thing to learn Photoshop and other...

need to fill pen tool created shape

um ... what happens when you're trying to fill a path and, after making the Path a selection with the Paths palette, the Fill option is grayed out? I don't get why that is. RGB document and all that ... should work ... no? I can't seem to fill the path directly from the Paths palette...

u gotta try this! (little tut for u)

hey bud :) Much better, me lad. Now try putting a little vertical spherize in there! There are two things you can do to reduce Jaggies ... one is to install ATM (adobe Type Manager) which, IIRC, is available free from the www.adobe.com site. Two, if you don't want to do that, then turn...
