The best editing choices for Monochrome long exposures

When invoking the Black & White function, you have the option of using the default preset or several optional presets. You can also opt to adjust each color individually, to include Reds, Yellows, Greens, Cyans, Blues and Magentas.

    skin retouching

Pretty decent job, but I noticed a few areas where you went too far. 1. The left portion of the forehead merges with the temple over the brow looks very flat now. Needs more shading to match the original lighting effects. 2. The lip's left corner is too smooth and there is no lipstick there...

Using lasso tool and warping leaves empty pixels when filter is applied...

I try to stay away form the lasso tool, but when I absolutely have to use it, I add in a temporary red outer stroke (layer styles) afterwards to see it if my selection picked up any stray pixels. I can turn it off after removing any strays.

    wallpaper?

I like the original better. She's a cute kid and the effects on the second image makes her look rather flat.

    Nasty halo after filling

The selection is likely using some feathering. Set feather to 0 and turn off anti-aliasing for your selection tool.

Need help on how to convert photos to black and white drawings, Grunge style or alike

Re: Need help on how to convert photos to black and white drawings, Grunge style or a One of the biggest obstacles with using any automated filter or other plugin is the one fact that these tools treats all edges as just any other edge. This causes individual objects and people to lose their...

I like both. Did you paint the samurai character?

    Challenge 20 - Surrealism

I like the scent one, but I feel the backgrounds inside them should be somewhat translucent so as to show what is behind the bottles. It would give a more inclusive projection of each bottle being in the room.

    Gradient Help

The problem is that the black line and gray outer boundaries are not the same distance on all points in any of your groups. This means you will need to experiment and most assuredly, you will need to make secondary edits. As Clare said, you will need to do multiple "takes" and blend them...

    Microsoft Publisher help

You can link text boxes together so text can overflow from one to another, but not to have text replicated in multiple boxes. May I suggest a simple copy/paste?

Drop Shadows Do Not Blend With Background After Saving.... Stumped...???

Are you using a layer blend mode other than Normal on the affected layer? I have seen this be the culprit to exactly what you are describing many times.

    stereoscopic 3d displacement filter problem

You can make multiple layers with varying degrees of effect and then mask each one onto the base layer as required to get the effect you desire.

    stereoscopic 3d displacement filter problem

The Displacement filter in Photoshop isn't a native 3D tool. What is does well is to create a faux bump map, known as displacement map, to use in overlaying images so that they can appear to be displaced properly over the light and dark contours of an image. The lighter parts of the...

    When things go wrong...

Some of those are creepy and wrong on every level. How these mistakes get passed an editor is beyond me.

Here is a real quick way to do a face swap in Photoshop...

I like the video and commentary, but as stated already, the colors are off the mark. The perspective is also out of order. I agree with Sam, a mask and soft blending would really bring this together, but the you still have the unnatural perspective. It isn't enough to transform the features...

    Titanic in watercolor

Much better perspective, but the use of the filter is too much here. It is too obvious even to the untrained eye, as it looks generated, and, it actually degrades the image without adding back to it in an artistic manner. I suggest a different way to approach this project. Make a duplicate...

If this ain't photoshopped shes in trouble

I doubt it is shopped. The previous "selfie" photo of her rear was the more likely shop culprit.

    Titanic's reflection - angular profile

Fudge it means you would simply take the object and flip it, then rotate to make the inverted bow and stern mate up under the original, accordingly. From there, you will have to take several rough measures to reshape the reflection so that it looks believable to any degree. One of your final...
