I wasn't sure where to post this one.
I was doodling in Blender and finally used that render with shadow catcher to put it on an image that I finished in PS...
It's some kind of steampunkish fuel burning vehicle on a planet with air.
So I started with
untitled.png

and

desert.jpg

to get this

Planet Cruiser.jpg

I spend some time on creating the dust vent and heat exhaust in PS...

Nice one Lambert

Just one little thing, is this effect meant to be there

Untitled.jpg

Having looked again, maybe it's a heat wave from the vents

That's the hot air coming from the vents Ged...good guessing...

Love your cute steampunk 'Two Seater'. Very nice and convincing blender job with an excellent shadow!
I like the heat wave, nothing wrong with it, maybe is a bit too strong.
Just the fire jets look too artificial. But then I'm no mars expert!

Mind you, all the post processed stuff I did in PS, the flames, the heat, the dust, I know you can do this in Blender in a more convincing way but I'm not ready for that now...

Thanks Chris.
I can tweak those things since it is actually a PS file but I kind of lost interest now...
I have to focus on your challenge...

I agree, a few more tweaks wouldn't change much on this great image.
I now look forward for your challenge entry!
