you mean like this?
grassbright.jpg
it's simple, use the colour selector tool (the eyedrop tool) to select the grass colour, click the colour it gave you in te palette, and change the colour to a brighter shade (move it up the scale a bit) and then make a new layer, and on that layer paint over the grass bits, once your doen with that, change the blending mode to soft light. and it comes out brighter! :D i'll go into detail with pretty screenies if you wish

There are very many ways to do it.
You can try in Image/Adjustments/ Hue/Saturation or Selective color (click Absolute) and choose color Green and Yellow (it more affects in it) and play with sliders.
Or Replace Color. Set Fuziness to 15 hold SHIFT and click in several places of those green circle, then play with sliders at bottom.

I would go with the replace color tool, then select the "add to sample" and click around in the green area to get all the green values selected. Finally change the hue/saturation to achive your goal

Here is my suggestion:
Select the area you want to change the color, then press Ctrl + M or Ctrl + L to view the histogram. Play the scrolls to achieve your desired color.
