Hi,

I've been using Photoshop CS 5 for a while now but since last night everytime I try to open a file to process a photograph (i shoot in RAW) Photoshop keeps crashing!! This is not great as I have a deadline to meet!!

I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.8 and Photoshop CS5 Version 12.0.4 (I've checked for updates (using Help - Updates) and Adobe says its' the latest version)

I've pasted some of the error report below but it's too big to put the whole thing in here.

Please help!
Thanks

use Rawtherapee to convert your RAW files to JPEG, Rawtherapee won't do anything other than convert it to a JPEG format, but there are light doctoring facilities there if you need them.

then try and load the JPEG into photoshop, if it still crashes, reinstall.

Try resetting the preferences file.
It cures a lot of strange behavior in PS.

Start Photoshop and immediately hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

Hi, thanks for the help. I've moved a couple of Tif files out of the directory I was trying to work in and (at the moment) this seems to have worked.
