Help With Pen Tool

Hello,
I am trying to trace a photograph of a pen and turn it into line art for a logo. I've been able to trace the photo but the lines are very thin and wobbly, I used the freeform pen tool. Is there a way to thicken and smooth the lines in the line art image?

The free form pen tool is no better than using the lasso tool. If you want accurate curves you need to use it the pen tool itself. There are plenty of tutorials available, so just do a search. It takes a little time and patience to learn but once you do you'll find the pen tool is invaluable.
