Mate clean the mirror and take another shot, this is to much work for a freebie.

yes i do. just one of those trial version. And do i know how to use it? tired but came out worse then it was before. I so wish i knew how to...

is their like any type of tutorial to do this. i mean i don't want to keep asking people for help. i would like to learn as well and help others too.

Welcome Adelaide maybe start your own welcome thread first.

YMCMB glad you liked it, create a new duplicate layer of original, just paint out the bits, then make that copy black and white, then combine the two layers as one using the overlay mode, alter settings to your own taste.

Nice one Clare but i think hes wanting to show off his ink?

even on a trial mode that is a real easy job should take a newbie less than 10 mins an experienced person 5 if that.
Step 1 go to image> adjustment > levels and drag the left slider to where the black histogram starts or until you like the blacks in the image
step 2 grab the spot healing brush the plaster above the paint brush and click it on the marks on the mirror.
step 3 click the layer in the layer panel and press control and J to duplicate the layer
step 4 go to filter> other > highpass on that kind of image I would guess move the slider to about 2.5 pixels ( the whole photo will go grey dont worry
step 5 set the layer blending mode in the drop down menu that currently says normal in the layer panel and set it to overlay
step 6 due to sharpening you may need to get the spot healing brush tool out again and remove any new marks on the mirror and you are done.
