How do I make patent prints for my maan cave?

I have seen online where people are taking old patent prints and turning them into art. I would like to do this for my man cave but I am not sure exactly how to go about doing it. I want something that looks high quality with sharp distinct lines. I also want the background to look like antique paper. Any suggestions on how I can do this? Below is an example of what I want to do. Thanks in andvance

then you can put your drawing on a top layer and change the mode to "multply"
