How to create a gear

How I can create a gear like this?

Best would probably be Ai using the Blend tool as the operation to make the gears.

Are you requesting how to make this in Illustrator?

Or, are you requesting how to make this in Photoshop?

Illustrator is the better tool, but it can be done with Photoshop using the transform tools, rotating and duplicating pieces on a center axis.

I totally agree that Illustrator would be the better program for creating gear vectors.

Like Hawkeye, I was working on a Photoshop version using shapes only, but I kept getting distracted. I also used the Pen Tool to create one basic shape and then rotated it around a central axis using the transform again using duplicate data or step and repeat (shift + alt/option + command/control + T).

This process/technique would be somewhat difficult to explain if your not familiar with working with shapes in Photoshop!





However, I think a much easier road would be to download and install some Custom Shape gears. These would be used with your Custom Shape Tool found nested with your shape tools in your Tools Panel.
