Helloooo!

If I make a bunch of brushes from drawing a bunch of shapes and things or something, or if I make patterns, or custom shapes, where and how, do I go about putting them somewhere so that I can share them with others if they would want to download them?:)

Man, I didn´t even know there was a place for things like this here lol, goes to show how little I know so far. :)
What I really meant to ask though, was how do I host them? I mean where do I keep them so that people can download them?

you can save the brushes as a .abr file and attach in your post or put the file on a free file storage site...
anyway, edit->preset manager is a good point to start. using shift you can select multiple presets and save them in a file.

Thank you LRG, I understand how to save brushes, but I can´t possibly post a link to my computer, or what do you mean? lol.
I have just been looking at mediafire or whatever it´s called, but I don´t understand it yet, but I suppose that is the way to go.

I have all kinds of things, and a like a million pictures that I have taken that I would like to give away if anyone would find them useful, and I think it would be fun to create a bunch of brushes and textures and patterns and things to give away. Maybe I could make a home page for this, I have access to at least 3 that I get for free for buying and prescribing to things, but I have never used them. Still if I make a page to give things away from, I would still have to have some kind of site where I can store things, that I can post download links to I would suppose?

I have no idea how to do things like this, I have no idea how to do anything, I have just barely started to learn photoshop lol.:)

this way i could suggest you for example 4shared.com. it provides 10gb space, i like it and am a user there for some years but there are several sites for free file storage...

Thank you LRG! I will check it out! Egészségedre! lol. :)

thank you! you inspire me to open a beer:D

Lol! It´s the only thing I know how to say in Hungarian, besides another thing that I don´t think I can spell, and also probably am not allowed to say here anyway. Lol. :)

haha, not a big issue since nobody will understand it except for me if you misspell it:P

Like LRG said, you can attach the files to your post and we have a quite generous size allowance.

Click on the Advanced Tab when you're composing the message.
Look down a bit and you'll see a "Manage Attachements" button.
Click on the button and in the new window click on "Add Files" on the top right.

Follow the prompts from there.

Here's a list of file type you can attach to your post.

.abr (Photoshop Brushes)
.ai (Adobe Illustrator)
.asl (Photoshop Layer Styles)
.atn (Photoshop Actions)
.bmp
.eps (Universal Vector Image Format)
.gif
.grd (Photoshop Gradients)
.jpe
.jpeg
.jpg
.pat (Photoshop Patterns)
.pdf
.png
.psd
.rar (Compressed Archive)
.zip (Compressed Archive)

OH! OK! Coool! I will have to get started putting some stuff together then. :)

Oh, one more question, If I make a folder full of things for example, is rar or zip what I need to use to attach it? I mean, can I attach more than one thing at a time? I´m sorry if I sound really dumb, but I have no idea how things like this work. :)
