Looks like an old satellite, but unless you were orbiting the Earth recently, I'm guessing it's not.

OK, some of you are warm, some are cold (but very funny), so here's another hint that should make it a lot easier to ID it. :-)

And THE WINNER is iDad - he nailed it on his 1st try.

2nd place goes to SPWA for his excellent and immediate "satellite" guess -- I wasn't up in space, I just visited the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum over the weekend with an out-of-town guest.

3rd place goes to Keit for realizing that it had to be something to withstand heat -- these are the small rocket nozzles for attitude adjustment.

Here's a zoomed out shot. BTW, all these were taken with my little Canon G12. That museum is a photographer's dream!

Maybe next time I breakout the camera. Nothing really instock to use at the moment, your more of a photographer than I, you're more than welcome to take the prize. ( keep it going)
