Issue in removing grains or creating fine image :(

Hello All,

I have taken a photograph of my new born baby from my mobile phone.
I want to make a photocopy of that image but I cannot properly remove the grains or noise to make a nice clean picture :( I tried with Photoshop CS2 ...though I am newbie user :(

Can you please help us to make it proper?

Beautiful baby...

This is all I can do, but there are some members who are amazing at this type of work.

Double remove grain (masked some parts like eyes and hair)
sharpen on eyes, hair, hands, more blurred part
curves
added side light

Lost some quality in the dress, but thought her face was more important

You can also apply the noise>reduce noise filter and the steps chris used.

I thought we were here to give guidance to CS users, not do the work for them. All these actions are available in CS2.

Am I missing something???
 
95% of the changes made using only ACR in CS6.

One final pass to remove the remainder of the noise using Neat Image from within PS (CS6).

Then down rez'ed in PS to 650 px hi for in-line display, and added watermark.

As usual, I'm just guessing at the skin tones, but I bet they weren't as dark and saturated as in the original image.

You'll note that a couple of posts earlier in your thread, one of the moderators made the comment:

"I thought we were here to give guidance to CS users, not do the work for them"

She is reminding the participants that this forum is primarily for educational purposes, hence there is a standing suggestion that responders to a request for info watermark their technique demos. This is exactly what I did.

There is another forum within photoshopgurus.com specifically for freelance work, ie, work-for-hire. I am not here to take work away from people who make a living doing this sort of work and / or devalue their work by undercutting them.

If you are interested, you can re-post your request in that forum, and I'm sure you will get many responses, likely, even one from me. A table of suggested pricing for different types of work is available, and you will see that the suggested rates are much less than the going rate for a commercial photo retouching firm.

This being said, some responders will do work for no pay -- just to get practice. This is not forbidden by the terms of service of photoshopgurus.com. Someone else may see what you are looking for and offer to adjust your image for free in a way that you are happy with.
