Hi Everyone, just wanted to say Hi, and am excited to find this  forum! Just the place I have been looking for! I have been an enthusiastic photographer for years (it runs in my family) and now enjoying the editing side too with CS and Lightroom. I recently started operating a photography business, and hoping to slowly build over the next couple of years around full time work and starting the family! Looking forward to chatting with you!

Same here, Tam! I look forward to chatting with you as well. Sometimes us photographers get out-numbered by all the graphic designers and other photoshop mavins that frequent this site.

BTW, where are u located?

If you feel like it, I know everyone would love to see an example or two of the type of photos you take. You can either start your own thread in the photography section, or add an image or two to one of the show-your-photo threads we had going a month or two ago.

Best regards,

Tom
(just outside of Washington, DC)

Hi Tom! Thanks for the quick reply and the welcome! I'm in Brisbane, Australia. I'll certainly take a look at the photography section and add a pic or two! Travelling to Hawaii soon, so getting all the gear organised!

Hi Tam...

Pleased to have you here at PSG. Unfortunately I know nothing about photography lol, I'm one of those designers lol.

Hope to see you around.

hey mate , dabbled in photography when i was a bit younger , its easier these days with digital , but photoshop is a must , its a darkroom and you dont even need to close the door and keep people out

what sort of camera gear do you use , i was a canon man but sick of lugging all gear

i just bought a new bridge camera fujifilm hs50exr , small sensor but you can take good images if you know what your doing , ive only had it a week but i like the idea of a 24-1000 mm lens that you can hand hold and get a pretty good image

i rarely would want a pic above 10 x 8 these days and this camera will do that easy enough . pretty good value and a very good camera for only 500 bucks

look forward too seeing some of your work , i may go back to a dslr when i retire and i want to make some side coin , at the moment im putting everything into learning this program as best i can , and its the best computer program on the market at least in my eyes at the moment
