Making a specific area transparent in photoshop,

So I have this image which is an outline of a house on a transparent background. What I am trying to do is make it so that the white parts of the house are transparent also, including the insides of the windows. I know how to select a specific area and fill it in as transparent but it gets tedious to do, and I was wondering if there's a way to select everything that's solid white at the same time, so I can easily make the insides of everything transparent leaving just the black outlines. Someone on another site suggested I select an area and then use the select similar tool however when I did this it selected the whole outside of the house instead like in the photo below.

So is there an easy way to do what I want?

Thanks.

Use the Magic Wand tool set to contiguous. Then click on each white window pane area until they are all selected, hit delete.

Thanks for help but even with the contiguous box checked when I click anywhere on the white parts of the house with the magic wand tool it just creates a selection around the whole house like in the pic I attached. So if I turn down the transparency it does it to the whole image.

Double click on the layer to open the Layer Style properties dialog.
Go to the Blend If section, With Blend If set to Gray, pull the top slider (This Layer) to the left. The white parts of the house will be removed.
As a double check, place a solid color layer under the house outline. Move the slider as necessary.
I'm only using the sample above, Your actual file might respond differently.
Once only the black outline is left, turn off the solid color layer or delete it.
Click OK and save as a png.
You will now only have the black outlines of the house.

Thanks this method seemed to do the trick and now have the house looking like I want. I wonder on come it wasn't working the other way.
