Now it's taking shape... I've created nebulas long ago... may I suggest a large , soft brush - white on its own layer.... and the smudge tool to create the gas clouds surrounding a nebula....

There's another way I create it ... I use the cloud generator filter..... and subject the white selection to a lot of abuse and layering... lol....

Good work so far.... keep at it.....
