Pen stopped working

I plug in my tablet but the pen does not work. I tried different ports.
I contacted the help desk but answers are very short like "does your tablet light up"
Now I'm no tech wizzard but that I know..

I also tried changing the tip but nothing happens.

Any suggestions or solutions?

One thing you could try is uninstalling the tablet drivers completely, removed the tablet from the USB port. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturers site. Install the latest driver and plug in the tablet again.

Depending on the brand name of the tablet, some pens require batteries.

I did that and Sam, it's wacom bamboo, no batteries

btw, what's the use of the little open ring that comes with the tips???

Does the Pen work at all or is it just Photoshop?

I just re installed it once again but pen still doesn't work and no, it doesn't work anywhere, I might get a new one, shame that I cannot try it first though
