Hey everybody....,

I am working with the pen tool on a gray background and it is very painful to clearly see the pen tool lines...... What is a simple way to work around these problem?
Thank you.

Regards.
Nic.

Hi Nic, welcome to PSG.

I hope someone has a good answer because I'd like to know an alternative. I zoom in. You can also do the path looking at the whole image to the best of your ability, then zoom in and make adjustments.

Depending on the image you could lower the opacity and see the path better. Or a levels adjustment layer might work better with some images, lightening it so you could make out the path. Once again, it's usually a good idea to zoom in and take a look around and make any needed adjustments of the points.

Then when you're done, of course you would delete or use the adj. layer and put the opacity back to 100%.

That is one of the larger issues I am having as I learn pen tool...I guess I am glad it is not me for a change!

Simple...

New layer above the grey BG, Have a filled white layer then above that, do your pen tooling. Then when your finished, delete the white layer.
