Hello,
I am using Photoshop 7 on Windows 7 64 bit. All has been working for a long time. All of a sudden when trying to open a file, such as a .gif or .png, they do not show in the view box? Any ideas why I can not open these files? Other files such as .jpg I can open fine.

Thanks JR

Hello there
you need maybe to specified the files type that you want to open by choosing it in the "open" window in PS

Also check your privledges ^^

See if resetting your preferences file helps, it fixes a lot of strange problems in Photoshop.
Start Photoshop and immediately hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
