Is it possible to fill an area with content-aware using the paint bucket tool? i have been able to fill the exact area I would like to be replaced with a general swatch. perhaps it is possible to create a swatch which uses the content-aware filter?

any responses would be greatly appreciated.

thanks a lot

Use the magic wand tool to select an area (it selects areas the same way the bucket tool does) then click Edit>Fill or press Shift+Backspace then set "use" to Content-Aware and press ok. That'll do basicly what your asking but had 2 steps instead of 1.
