This is a question on shaky text.

Here's an example Just like dv8_fx explained........

So how do you get the blur to set to only one specific word? This is what happened to me ..1398285768760.jpg

The two words were originally on separate layers. There were two text layers and a background.

The second word was duplicated.
The shake effect was added to the second duplicated word while it was by itself.

Then, the three layers were copied twice. One copy with the regular word and the other with the shake effect.
Each of the two copies were merged together in order to use only two layers for the GIF.

Okay you had me til the three layers part .. can you send attachments of the steps of that please? I'm a newbie to only this shake stuff I'm a visual learner :/ but I understood the first two steps!

Sorry, I could not find the silly file.............

Here is the layers panel before merging.... (There are actually two BG layers)

Sorry, had to leave for a few minutes..........

Ok, you highlight the background and the two text layers. Three layers.

(NOTE: in this case there are two (2) BG layers, so there are four layers)

First the four layers with the shaky text...

The you duplicate the layers (com + J) and then merge (com + E)

Repeat for the non shaky text.

Highlight the layers with the non-shaky text....

The you duplicate the layers (com + J) and then merge (com + E)

Now you have a shaky and a non-shaky layer.
