I'm not sure what's very special about that image.
Post an image that you would like to look like that and we'll see what needs to be done,
 
it wouldn't be much of a tutorial really, mainly just toggling with the levels, darkness and saturation (under image>adjustments)
 
I agree with claidi, this is just a mixture pf different adjustment layers. probably some burning around the edges with the burn tool or a soft brush. u can work wonders with different lighting and shading BUT if your picture is not of high quality from the get go, dont expect to have a superb photo at the end.
