Resizing issue

I made a simple picture using some text effects 1000x1000px but i need it resized to 180x60.
I know this is a very stupid resize thats needed and will no doubt lose most of the quality (or at least it seems so)

It is for a digital label for music and the online retailer needs this size of pic to try be as close to the original as possible but i cant get it no matter what i try.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanx

Forget the resolution, the ratio is going to be your problem here.
You're going to have to squeeze the width to one third of it's size completely distorting what every your image is.

Even Edit|Content-Aware Scale in CS5 isn't going to help you here.

As steve said, ratio is your biggest problem.

What you can do is, click on the crop tool.

Enter the height and width in the boxes (below the menu; be sure to enter px afterwards, ie, 180 px)

Use the crop tool to get as much of the design as you can, press enter, and volia!
