Run CS5 on Power PC?

Hi,

Have another Guru question.

I have a Power PC G5, 2.3 GHz, 4.5 Gigs of RAM.

Seems that Adobe had been distributing software
which enabled G5 owners to run CS5.

Does anyone know if that code works and if so where it can be found?

I don't see me scrapping this machine anytime soon...

I called Adobe with this, had a conversation with a tech/sales person.
They were supposed to get back to me with information and never did -
which I figure to be a bad sign.

Thank you!

Peter

cs5 needs intel I have that model Mac also cs5 will not work on it I have cs2 0r cs3 on that one I heard that rumor also but it didn't pan out, if it is out there it is pirated and adobe will not comment is my guess

Hi Peter.
I just want to touch base with you, we've seen your post.
I'm not really familiar with your situation.
The information I'm seeing doesn't mention any patch or software solution.

I think you're best bet for answers is Adobe support.

Thanks for getting back to me!

The tech I spoke with at Adobe told me that there was software they had been handing out. But that she
would have to check if there were any copies available.

I guess not hearing back from Adobe is about the same as not
hearing back after a first date: bad news.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for getting back to me. I will see if I can get Adobe to give me something definitive.
Will let you know if i get something.

Best wishes,

Peter

Yes Peter post back and let us know how you make out.

And "copies available"?
They need 1 copy to post on-line.

That sound like a bunch of nonsense to me, like the tech really didn't know one way or the other.

Good Luck.
