Hello mates i need help. Which is easiest fastest and the best way to select car parts? i wanna color car but i dont wanna color windows lights etc. And how i can put advertisements on it (example like red bull logo etc. )

There is no one single tool that is always the best, that's why PS has many tools and methods available for selecting. Usually it's a combination that is required for something like a car.

If I had to pick the best all around selection tool, it would definately be the pen tool

Pen tool to make most accurate selections in my opinion to.

Paul is right. The best and most accurate tool in the drawer in Photoshop is the pen tool.

That said, my best friend these days is the layer mask if I'm working quickly and/or working for the web where resolution is not such an issue.

Copy the whole layer, color it to suit, then mask out the bits you don't want colored. The BEST thing about a layer mask is that you can go back and tweak it easily - softening edges, perfecting a line, etc., and you can play with both the new color and the underlying windows and such thing.

Easy peasy

tnx guys but i dont get something.. when i make outline of car i wanna outline windows and lights. what i need to do to have selected lights and windows and outline of car in same time? :D and how to put some paintjobs on it? i know to change color but oder paintjobs like logo and other stuff :D

Sean, this is one of the tutorials colleague gave us to use for the car challenge a couple weeks ago. This is what you need: http://42concepts.com/design/car-advertisement-samples/

It may seem hard at first, but just be patient and follow the directions exactly. I can do it from memory easily now.

As for selections, I'm with Hawkeye. The pen tool can be used to make multiple selections. But you will have to learn how to use it. That will take some practice but it is worth it. You could also consider making the selections separately and using duplicate layers to accomplish what you need. But that is the long way.

Guys really thank you.. i will search something multiple selections ;)
P.S i saw this tut it is great but to complicated for me lol :D

currently I'm working on pen tool, initially it was quite difficult for me to select any part.. but now I'm getting used to it.
