Trying to darken an image

to darken you're image, try it this way:

create a new layer Naamloos.jpg

Fill the layer with black with the paint bucket tool paint bucket.jpg

go to opacity in your layers tab and reduce it to about 10% or wich ever you desire opacity.jpg

And to answer one of your previous post
think of a layer as a new piece of paper on top of your other layers (papers)

Being in grayscale does not help. I changed it from a PDF to a JPG using photoshop but it won't make it darker. When I go Enhance>Adjust Lighting>Brightness/Contrast with the JPG image, when I move the brightness triangle to the left, there is no change. However, if I tick off preview, it does get darker as I move the triangle but when I click OK, it goes back to the way it was originally.

I said "........ convert the image to grayscale then try a levels adjustment instead. " of Brightness and Contrast.

Who can I PM with my phone number so this can get done?

I suspect the phone would be too expensive in my case, maybe somebody who lives closer. But why don't you post the document here, so that somebody can check and let you know ? Or is it something sensitive that cannot be changed into publicly viewable document ?

Figured it out myself I was hoping to get a response to a notification sent but ended up working on it myself.

I copied it and pasted it into Paint, then saved it as a PNG file. The darkened it in photoshop and then saved it as a PDF file.

See ya.
