What is the best Color setting for Ps5.1?

Ok, I'm new here and need some help. I have been using Ps for many years and have had no problems printing any of my creation with my printer. Well, until now. When I try to print a copy it comes out really dark. I have no problems printing something from the web, every thing looks good. So what I need to know is what is the best color setting? I have tried to fine answers online and ever one has different ideas. I just have know reason why it's not working now when it's worked fine in the past. I have not made any changes to the settings. What should be the settings for the working space and color management policies?

Post the exact psd file that prints dark & we'll tell u if we see any problems with it.

Ok, I tried and failed. It's only 1.6 mb, how long should it take? I let it up load for over 15 minutes. I even tried to up load in the advance mode. Should it take along time? It is a psd file.

When I print a copy on my Canon Photosmart printer the print comes out a whole lo darker.
