I have looked at loads of tutorials to create seamless textures and know that the offset function needs to be used but I am struggling to remove the "seams" convincingly. The tutorials seem to use the healing brush or clone tool which works great on busy patterns like rock/paper/grass textures but not when I am trying to make a pattern from eggs or onions. I have attached the image showing the seams, what would be the best way to go about this?

Use the Pentool and make a selection of some eggs.
Put them on a separate layer each.
Move each layer to cover the gaps and create your own egg pattern.

4 layers with a drop shadow...

...after a few duplicates of the layers and moving them around it looks like this.
